EasyGo Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the EasyGo mobile app (Android package com.starx.easygo), its customer and driver services, and related support. The developer listed on Google Play is STAR X TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS PTY LTD. In this policy, “EasyGo”, “we” and “our” refer to the EasyGo service and the team responsible for handling its personal information.
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, complaints, or account and data deletion requests, contact support@easygoapp.com.au. Please identify your EasyGo account and the nature of your request. Do not email passwords, verification codes, full payment card details or identity-document copies.
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where applicable.
2. Information we collect and why
- Account and contact details: mobile number, verification information, account ID, first and last name, email, profile information and account role. These are used to create and authenticate accounts, contact you and provide customer or driver services.
- Orders and transactions: pickup and delivery addresses, contact details, service instructions, order status, charges, invoices, payments, refunds and driver earnings or withdrawals. These are used to arrange and complete services, calculate charges, settle payments and resolve disputes.
- Driver onboarding and payout information: date of birth, address, profile photograph, identity and driver's licence documents, ABN/TFN where requested, vehicle and registration details, insurance documents, and bank account details for payouts. These are used to assess driver eligibility, administer driver accounts and payments, and meet applicable obligations.
- Location: approximate or precise device location with permission, addresses you enter, and driver location during an active service. These support address selection, maps, routing, dispatch, estimated arrival times and service records. Section 3 explains ongoing driver tracking.
- Photos, videos and other content: images and videos you choose or capture, order attachments, delivery or service evidence, chat messages and images, reviews, support tickets, appeals and their attachments. These are used to provide the requested feature, communicate about an order and handle support or disputes. Camera and photo access depend on your device permissions and selections.
- Payment information: card or other payment details entered into a payment provider's payment interface, payment tokens, saved-payment references, limited card metadata and transaction status. Stripe or Airwallex processes payment details for the payment route in use. EasyGo's backend does not receive full card numbers or card security codes through these native card-entry interfaces.
- Technical information: device and operating system information, app version, IP address, request and error logs, SDK crash and diagnostic information, map or payment-interface interactions, authentication identifiers, SDK/device identifiers and push notification tokens. These support authentication, security, troubleshooting, app updates and service notifications. Map and payment SDK providers also process technical and interaction data for service analytics, reliability and fraud prevention.
We use this information for the functions described above, fraud and abuse prevention, service reliability, and applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use driver location for third-party advertising.
3. Location permissions and ongoing driver tracking
Customers can use location-dependent features such as selecting their current address while using the app. Customer mode does not continuously collect location in the background.
For drivers, EasyGo collects and sends location while an order is in the “Driver heading”, “Driver arrived” or “In service” stages. Tracking can continue when the app is in the background or the screen is locked, so the customer can follow the service and EasyGo can keep service and dispute records. Android uses a location foreground service with a persistent notification; iOS requires the relevant background location permission. Location updates depend on device and operating system conditions.
Tracking stops when there are no orders in these tracking stages. Live driver location is available to the relevant order's customer and authorised operations or support personnel. Route records may be retained for service support, safety and disputes as explained in section 6.
You can change or revoke location, camera, photo and notification permissions in device settings. Refusing or revoking a permission may prevent the associated feature, and drivers need the necessary location permission to provide tracked services.
4. Who receives information
- Other participants in your order: the assigned driver or customer receives the contact, address, location, chat and order information needed for that service. Content you send in order chat is visible to its authorised participants.
- Payment providers: Stripe and Airwallex process the information needed for the selected payment, saved payment methods, refunds, risk controls and related transactions. If you select WeChat Pay or another supported payment method, the relevant payment service also processes the information needed to complete it.
- Google services: Google Maps supports maps, address search and routing; Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging support authentication, real-time order/chat functionality and push notifications.
- Hosting and delivery providers: Amazon Web Services supports hosting, storage and SMS delivery; Expo/EAS supports app update delivery. These providers process the information necessary to operate those services.
- Authorised personnel and advisers: operations and support staff, professional advisers, insurers or authorities may receive information necessary to handle a request, claim, safety issue, lawful requirement or dispute.
We limit access to the purpose for which it is needed. Third-party providers may also process information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations. Their services may involve processing outside Australia; we do not represent that all copies of all information remain in Australia.
5. Security
The production app uses encrypted HTTPS connections to EasyGo's API. We use access controls and restricted cloud storage to protect personal information and limit access to authorised users and service providers. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please keep account access and verification codes private and report suspected misuse to support.
6. Retention, account deletion and data requests
You can request account deletion in EasyGo through your customer or driver profile: “Me / Profile” → “Delete account”. You can also request account deletion or deletion of particular data without installing or signing into the app by emailing support@easygoapp.com.au. Use the subject “EasyGo account deletion” or “EasyGo data deletion”, identify the account's registered phone number or email and customer/driver role, and specify your request. We may verify account ownership before acting. See the account and data deletion page.
The in-app deletion process disables the relevant account and replaces or removes identifying profile fields, including contact details and, for drivers, identity and licence references. It does not immediately erase every historical transaction, uploaded file, service-provider record or backup. Support can assist with associated data that is not removed by the self-service process and explain any information that must be retained.
Active orders, open disputes or refunds, pending driver withdrawals or an unsettled driver balance may need to be resolved before self-service deletion is available. You can still contact support to initiate your request and receive help resolving these conditions.
We retain information while needed to provide the service and handle outstanding obligations. Order, payment, payout, tax, safety, fraud-prevention and dispute records may need to be retained after account deletion for applicable legal, accounting or claims purposes. Retention depends on the record and applicable obligation, rather than a single period for all data. Backups and independently held payment-provider records can follow separate retention schedules. Contact support for the categories, reason and applicable retention period for your request. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or de-identified through our data handling process.
The in-app order-chat history access window is normally seven days after an order ends. This limits access in the app; it is not a promise that every server copy or dispute record is automatically erased after seven days.
You may also request access to or correction of your personal information, or ask to delete particular data without closing your account. We will assess the request, verify identity where needed, and explain any limits arising from ongoing services or legal obligations.
7. Questions, complaints and changes
Contact support@easygoapp.com.au for privacy questions or complaints. We will review the issue and respond through the contact details you provide. If you are not satisfied with the handling of an Australian privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy as EasyGo changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes to data use or permissions will be communicated where required, and additional consent will be sought where applicable.

隐私咨询或投诉请联系 support@easygoapp.com.au。
